All meals are homemade with a wide range of traditional English food and our specials board is constantly changing. The Six Bells is also a child-friendly pub, offering a children's menu and can do smaller portions of most adult meals. A playground is also in the backyard to keep the children entertained. A Brief History Presiding across from St Peter's Church in Newdigate, the pub used to be called The Five Bells due to the amount of bells in the Church. In 1803, six new bells were cast in the Church, meaning the pub was renamed to suit it's namesake. The Six Bells was built in the mid-1700s and has since gone under many refurbishments, including the addition of the large 50 seated restaurant. The restaurant is also transformed into a skittles alley, catering for up to 40 people. For more information, please visit the Skittles page.
